 It's the nature of ambition and feeling pleased

to make men liars and cheats,

 to hide the truth in their breasts,

 and show, like jugglers, another thing in their mouths,

 to cut all friendships and enmities to the measure of their own interest,

 and to make a good countenance without the help of good will

If we were all given by magic the power to read each other's thoughts,

I suppose the first effect would be to dissolve all friendships.

 It's hard to believe that a man is telling the truth,

 Men are more prone to cheating, definitely.

Dare to be true...  nothing can need a lie!
