My life next to you was full of happiness…

just because you were there,

Of course !  Not as my OWNER,

but as my FRIEND !

My body is gone but I'll always be near.
I'll be everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'll be the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'll be the beautiful flowers of which you'll be so fond,
the clear cool water in a quiet pond.

Friend! Please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see me.
I'll be right by your side every day and every night
and within your heart I’ll stay longer.

Here where I am now,

the grass is always green and

every day the sun shines gently down

upon all of God's creatures.

I can jump, run, play and do all of the things

that I did when we were together.

There is no sickness here, no aching joints

no regrets and no aging process.

Don’t grieve for the lost,

just rejoice for all the time we shared together.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.

I'll be the hot salty tears that’ll flow down when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that’ll come while you sleep.
I'll be the smile you’ll see on a baby's face…
Just look for me, friend!

I'll be in everyplace!

For all of the times that you have stooped and stroked my head,

fed me my favorite treat and

returned the love that I so unconditionally gave to you.

For all of the cares that you gave me to so unselfishly
and for all of those things

 I am grateful and thankful!
